SEO Importance in Blog Traffic   

Having a blog on the Internet that gives people some good information doesn't do a lot of good if people

don’t know that it’s there.

If you want people to be able to find your blog, An important factor is you have good

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.  One of the most important parts of SEO is keyword targeting.  Using keyword targeting or keywords people use to search for your topic in your blog is very important.

Whenever you put one or more words into a search bar to look for something, the SEO of a website is what

helps bring up those websites. All search engines look for keywords in websites and blogs that are relevant to the ones you have typed in your search.  If your blog isn't keyword rich other blogs will be displayed and you don't get traffic.

For example, if your blog is about Harry Potter, you are going to want to be sure that your blog includes

popular terms such as Harry Potter, JK Rowling, and other things that are related to Harry Potter. Think about the things that people look for when they are interested in Harry Potter, and the kinds of

things that come up when you search.

It’s important to decide on your blogs over all theme and then find the keywords people use to search for your theme or topic. Keyword research is very important as you are setting up your blog.  You have to weave the keywords into your headlines, text and meta tags. 

Years ago clever bloggers and webmasters thought they could stack the deck.  They would put lines and lines of a single keyword before the content and after it.  Their theory was with all those keywords they would certainly rank with the search engines.  Well, that didn't last long because the search engines caught on very quickly.

So, there is a bit of an art here.  You have to wave the keywords throughout your blog.  The idea is to put just enough keywords in without over loading it.  Every SEO expert will have a different percentage they like to see.  This gets a bit technical and requires more time than we have here.
